Arsenal and CashBet Collaborate to Promote ICO
According to the Guardian, Arsenal has agreed to promote CashBet’s ICO in Arsenal’s 60,000-seat Emirates Stadium. The deal marks the first time a major sports team has officially partnered with a cryptocurrency company. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

In a recent survey of over 5,000 adults, about 60% of respondents claimed that they have heard of Bitcoin, which is a 33 points higher than an unlinked survey from 2013. However, only 5% currently own Bitcoin — but another 21% claim they are “considering adding it to their portfolios.” According to Bitcoin News, the survey was conducted by the Global Blockchain Business Council and Survey Monkey.
Canadian All-Digital Bank, VersaBank, Creating “Blockchain-Based Digital Safety Deposit Box”
VersaBank, an all-digital bank based in Canada, is developing a “blockchain-based digital safety deposit box.” According to CoinDesk, the new service is called VersaVault, and it will store cryptocurrencies and other digital property. Gurpreet Sahota, the former lead of cybersecurity at Blackberry, will oversee the development of VersaVault.
Paddle8 To Accept Cryptocurrency Payments in its Online Auctions Beginning in August 2018
Paddle8 has merged with The Native, a Swiss technology company, which will enable cryptocurrencies to be used in Paddle8’s online auctions. According to the Art Newspaper, Paddle8’s first auction accepting Bitcoin is planned to occur on August 18, 2018. Paddle8 claimed it made this move to better serve millennials who are increasingly investing in cryptocurrency.
