Tezos platform launches its ‘Betanet,’ F1 racing champion adopts KodakOne platform and BTCC set to relaunch with new trading pairs and token!
Tezos Launches Betanet; Community To Grow Project
After a tumultuous post-ICO period, including lawsuits and delays, Tezos has launched its Betanet, according to ccn.com.
Tezos allows for “on-chain governance,” or the ability to propose upgrades to the protocol without manual intervention from a central party. The foundation within Tezos will continue to further the growth and development of the protocol through initiatives like “educational and research institutions, open source developers, non-profits and business adoption on the Tezos network” according to Ryan Jesperson, President of the Tezos Foundation.
Currently users can act as “bakers” (block validators) by staking 10,000 Tezos tokens (Tezzies). The tokens are currently traded on HitBTC and Gate.io.
F1 Champion Set To Use Kodak Blockchain
As what some believe will be the “first of many” for KodakOne, F1 racing champion Fernando Alonso is moving his entire digital library to the platform, as reported by ccn.com yesterday. The KodakOne platform will allow his fans to upload, register, and protect their photos of Alonso, and in some cases users will be rewarded for doing so. KodakOne is aiming to launch their token by the end of 2018 or beginning of 2019 through a public beta program.
BTCC Exchange Relaunches With Crypto-Fiat Pairs & Token Plans
As seen on ccn.com, the Chinese exchange BTCC is re-opening its doors less than a year after being shut down during a Chinese cryptocurrency crackdown.
Originally based in China, BTCC moved its operations to Hong Kong and London before being purchased by a Honk Kong based investment firm back in January. The exchange will return with new trading pairs for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Litecoin and plans to launch its own exchange token in the near future. The goal of the token will be to reward users with arbitrary points that can then be cashed into BTCC tokens. The timeline on the token launch is currently TBD.
