Binance has announced it is relocating its headquarters to Malta. According to Bitcoin.com, Malta’s Prime Minister, Joseph Muscat, publicly welcomed Binance as it helps Malta become “global trailblazers in the regulation of blockchain-based businesses and the jurisdiction of quality and choice for world class fintech companies.”
TSX Group Developing First Cryptocurrency Exchange Brokerage Service
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s (TSE’s) TMX Group is partnering with Paycase Financial to launch “a special brokerage service that will provide data and investment advice for investors about cryptocurrencies.” According to Bitcoin Magazine, TMX Group’s subsidiary, Shorcan Digital Currency Network, is partnering with Paycase Financial to provide data, status updates, and prices of cryptocurrencies.
JPMorgan Considering Making Quorum Its Own Business
Bloomberg and the Financial Times are reporting that JPMorgan Chase is considering turning Quorum into its own business entity — although the company has yet to directly address the rumors. As reported by CoinTelegraph, a spokesperson for JPMorgan claimed that the bank “continue[s] to believe distributed ledger technology will play a transformative role in business, which is why we are actively building multiple blockchain solutions.” He added that Quorum has become “an extremely successful enterprise platform even beyond financial services and we’re excited about its potential.”
